I hate Waiting

In our fast food society where everything is instant...I think we have lost the art of patience....I hate waiting....

I hate waiting in line at the wal-mart....for 40 minutes...they installed 30 check outs when they built the damn thing but never have had them all open...even last Xmas...when they had their huge sale...we were in line for over an hour and they had 6 tils open....I mean really, what the hell was that about....surely to God with all the millions they rake in every day they can afford to pay  a few more non English speaking Filipino's as cashiers....just last week I had a really interesting visit to walmart....   R and I had bought a few groceries at the super one....and had remembered to take our cloth bags....yeahhhhh   I hand them to the cashier and she starts loading them up with our goods....but they are old and washed a lot so they don't stand up stiff anymore....well she was getting pretty agitated because she had to use both hands to put stuff in them ...when all of a sudden she loses it...starts rattling off in I don't know what language...and grabs up the rest of my bags wads them into a ball and throws them with some vehemence back into my cart....and proceeds to use their plastic bags...ahahahahah  I have to admit that would have been the perfect opportunity to get a discount by complaining about her attitude to the manager but I was speechless..and stunned into immobility....all R and I could do was look at each other and concentrate on not laughing....who knows what might have happened if we had been unsuccessful and laughed out loud...she might have jumped across the counter and throttled me...ahahahahaha...

we have folks coming today to pick up some feed grain for their chickens but they were supposed to be here at 10 am...and it is now noon....  I hate waiting....I think it is a sign of disrespect when people can't be on time....like your time is worthless and you have nothing better to do but wait for them to show up....

I hate waiting....

We went to visit some friends at their place on the lake yesterday...don't ask me why...we had tons of hay ready to bale but off we went...I kept trying to get R to leave so we could get something done that day but he ignored me...anyway it was so christly hot in their house I couldn't stand it...my whole body swelled up and I felt like crap...all she did was shove food in our face...and thank god for a change I had enough will power to only nibble...or I would have really gotten sick...when we got home our house was all lovely coolness...and quiet...living by the lake would be annoying....the noise from all the boats and partiers, kids screaming and dogs barking...lawn mowers and power saws, campfire smoke and mosquito's....ughhh...

I'm still waiting...
