What a Lovely Day

I love waking up to the sound of rain on the roof..

.actually it rained all night. How do I know this you might ask...well, because I was on the toilet all night ...again.  I swear if it was humanly possible to survive without food, I would never eat another morsel...my guts feel like they went through a meat grinder...and I can barely keep my head upright. Now my pharmacist is faxing letters to my family doc. about drug interactions, apparently one of the drugs I am on has been clinically proven to raise blood glucose levels and she thinks he should take me off that before getting me to take the diabetic drug...hahahaha makes sense to me...besides in the write up that came with the drug...it says that those two together can cause serious kidney damage or failure....don't need that.

It is raining nicely here and it is the sound of money hitting the metal roof....hahahaha  a million dollar rain as they say.  We are half way through our first cut of hay and it is short....very short.

Now that it is raining R and I have a gazillion things to do...playing catch up...with little chores...we have to take that bull that hurt himself back to the vets to be re-checked before the insurance will pay out...we have to put he computer monitor in the tractor for our new baler...move the cows to another pasture and fix some fence...etc....

Last week R and I were in the Wild Bird General Store, in the city looking for a second hummingbird feeder...my other one was broken last year from the walnut sized hail we had....and I was down to only one feeder...they didn't have the one I was really looking for...much the same as the one I have already....but they did have some really artsy, glass ones.

I also saw a pair of china coffee mugs there with beautiful red poppies on them...and I was torn.. both things would have cost about the same... but in the end we went with the feeder...it is what we went there for after all...and a need not a want, like the mugs would have been.  But since we put the feeder up we have not seen one hummer at it and the nectar is still at the full level....so what a waste of money...our hummingbirds have no class...they are just red plaster trailer trash....hahahahhaaha

I have had to refill the old one twice already since buying the new one...and it is still full from the first time...hummph...  Should have bought the mugs after all.
