Respite

Contrary to popular belief, I am not about to off myself.  That doesn't mean I don't worry, when those dark days are upon me, that I will feel compelled to end my suffering. But I am stronger than even I know.  I am too battle hardened to fall on my sword. I intend to win my respite, the life I deserve to have, break free from my chains of servitude and retire from farming. hahahaha

R and I are discussing options, which is more than he has ever been willing to do before. I believe he has finally heard my desperation.

So, I think, for the moment we all deserve respite. I will speak of more pleasant things for a time, to cheer us all.

This is what we awoke to the on Friday morning. It rained on Thursday and then a couple of inches of snow overnight.  It is all melted now and you would hardly know it had rained...the ground is dry again... we spent the weekend running the calves through the barn and vaccinating for blackleg and BRSV.  sorted into male and female groups and sorted the cows the same....tomorrow morning they will walk up the road to the summer pastures.  ahhhhhh peace and quiet for a couple of months anyway....

On Saturday we got a call from our friends that they wanted to come and pay us for some seed grain they had got from us... R said sure come for supper, and what I thought was going to be soup and a sandwich turned into a big meal.... Ham, meatballs and gravy, mashed potato, broccoli and cauliflower, salad and lemon meringue pie....


we played cards and I was asleep before my head hit the pillow...those kinds of days exhaust me.  Sunday, we worked calves and again on Monday..

today I got the filling in my molar...it was a breeze...I have a crush on my new dentist....he is quick, I was in and out in 30 min. friendly, soft spoken and really reasonably priced.... the work he has done on my teeth this month has been the least painful dental work I have ever had....and that is something and it is the most awesome filling...smooth and clean...no sharp edges ....great.

mowing the lawn tomorrow at 5 am...I have my alarm set...have to get it done before the sun is up too much.

that stupid cat that is hanging around has finally managed to really piss me off now...the other day she moved her kitten from the garden shed to my greenhouse....it is like a sauna in there so I am not sure what she is thinking....but the little bugger, likes it in there....he sleeps on top of my flower packs....squishing them...  and it is still to cold to put the flowers outside.....urghhhhh   I don't what the hell I was thinking...inviting her to stay...
