Insane or just plain Stupid

Today started like any other day... until R decided to call his brother and catch up with life, while I got breakfast ready.  The conversation was going well until R asked him how his divorce was going....it got kinda quiet and then R made some hasty comment about having to get outside and hung up....hmmmmmm  I wondered to myself, what could that have been about..... I didn't pry though...I figured it would come out in conversation sooner or later....

I didn't have to wait too long... in the time it took for R to set the phone down and take a sip of coffee...he was ranting...." how the hell can he be so stupid....that woman is insane and he needs to be committed for even thinking about getting back together with her never mind doing it...."  "well it will be a cold day in hell before I have anything to do with her.. Good God, he must be crazy..."

 It didn't take me long to figure out what he was eluding to.... His brother has gotten back together with his pathological lying, slutty, clairvoyant, alcoholic wife.... the one that, just last year, after only 7 months of marriage, in a drunken, drug and alcohol induced fit of insanity, while they were arguing called the police on him for abuse and had him arrested...he spent the night in jail too embarrassed to call his adult sons to bail him out....she later, in court, stated that his house was her primary residence and he had to live somewhere else for three months with a restraining order against him while she lived in his house, basically like a pig, never cleaning it a bit or paying utilities or anything...after that, the court implemented a peace bond on them both, stopping them from having anything to do with one another for 1 year....(which they broke a couple of times)

Well the year is up and low and behold....they are back together....she apparently has cut her drinking in half (we all know that is not going to last) she is on psychotic medication for god knows what....and shouldn't drink...but has been an alcoholic for years so her shrink should have known that....

Now I ask you ......just how lonely and desperate does a guy have to be to do something so heinously ridiculous.

I lived with a slightly abusive husband and I get the whole attachment thing, the neediness and doormat mentality....but she called the cops, booted him out of his house....made his life hell.. turned his sons against him and will not admit to having a drinking problem...so in my mind she has made her choice....bottle 1/ Tom 0. 

He has, since the split up found out that he is not the first man she has done this two, there is record of at least three others, two of which she was married to briefly....ahahahah one of them was a city policeman...he apparently has nothing nice to say about her...and warned T. to consider himself lucky to have got away from her...before she bled him dry...like she did him.... 

R and I are both in shock...but I told R there is nothing you can do...and how far do you want to take your dislike for her and what she did...if they are together again...will you let it cut you off from your brother... it is a fine line we walk....but we will just sit back this time and watch the show....and I am absolutely sure there will be one.. there always is with alcoholics.... R is just worried that things might escalate the next time, with her killin him....it's possible..she is that crazy.

I personally can be polite when I have to but will not go out of my way to be friendly...she lied to us just as much as to T.  and I will never forgive her for what she put T through.  I don't care if she is a drunk...that is no excuse for treating people like shit.  T lied to us as well, which I have some problems with...we made friends with and welcomed her under the illusion that she was whom and what they presented to us....practically none of which was true.... I felt very violated when the truth finally all came out along with her bad behavior.... so now we are suppose to go back to happy families...like none of the past year ever happened......huh...I don't think so...

Oh brother,   what next....is all I can say... what the hell next...
